"Bread of Life Ministries exists to provide food for the hungry, shelter to the homeless, and services that help people change their lives and take personal responsibility. God calls us to minister to one another and assist those in need"
|
Started in 2005, the Resource Center has become a vital component of ending the cycle of poverty and homelessness in people's lives. Originally created to help with vocational job training skills, the Resource Center has evolved to become the cornerstone of person to person assistance and development for our clients. |
|
|
Now located in a facility next to our homeless shelter, the Resource Center offers a place to access computer resources for job opportunities, apartment hunting, GED studies, and college applications. Each urgent need of our clients is handlled gently and carefully at the Resource Center. Our Case Managers and Director are staffed at the Resource Center providing ongoing assistance to those transitioning to housing, jobs, education and parenting. |

|
Also at the Resource Center
is a new child play area renovated by a local group of parents offering a
fun and safe place for young children while staying at the shelter.
Hundreds of individuals have been helped thanks to the care of the staff,
interns from the University and volunteers helping our guests move toward
self-sufficiency and self-dignity in their lives. The Resource Center also
is the hub of managing resources and donations from area churches offering
assistance with oil and electrical emergency needs when such funds are
available.
